TU and ADP students who will be studying mathematics, science (including biology, biopsychology, chemistry, and physics/engineering), economics and/or foreign language (Chinese, French, German, Japanese or Spanish) courses must often take an appropriate placement test prior to their enrollment in the first such course. Prerequisites and co-requisites play a prominent role in the following discussion. These topics are discussed in more general terms in Sec. 6.11.
